Alexandre Julien Maurer is a composer, producer and sound designer from the french part of Switzerland based in Zurich with a strong background in jazz drumming, sound design and experimental electronic music.
His music illustrate a whole world between, acoustic instruments, digital glitch, sound design and warm analog synth.
His many different skills and understanding for very diverse music genre is leading Alexandre J. Maurer to explore a multiple range of contemporary art of sound.
Working on different projects at the same time such as scores, theatre/performance, music productions, playing the drums and teaching, the busy man challenge himself everyday by giving his best in every collaborations.

As a composer I've been working for the swiss national TV (SRF), the Label EMI, and Art Directors such as Christian J. Koch, Wendy Pillonel, Daniel Von Aarburg, Chanelle Eidenbenz, Niklaus Ritter, Valérie Anex. and the choregraph Josep Caballero Garcia.
As a producer and musician I've been working with Black Cracker (US), Soweto Kinch (UK), Freda Goodlett (US), Solange La Frange (CH), Sandy Patton (US), Malcom Braff (CH), Marc Storace (CH), Ella Ronen (ISR), Luk Zimmermann (CH), Kaspar Ewald's Exhorbitantes Kabinett (CH), Basel Symphonie Orchester (CH) and won a prize for a remix of the Deutsche Symphonie Orchester.
I see sound design as a part of the whole sound universe that I create for the project.
As a sound designer I worked with Hastings Audio Network, Stories AG, and DB Media Design.
